IS YOUR SKIN READY FOR WINTER?
WINTER IS COMING! TIME TO SWITCH YOUR SKINCARE ROUTINE TO WINTER MODE?
With December approaching, the weather has started to get significantly colder. The summer-winter distinction many of us make shouldn't just be for our clothes; it's also time to switch our skincare routines to winter mode?
We wanted to address how you should change your skincare routine in winter and what you should add to it:
1. You can opt for a sulfate-free gel or cream for facial cleansing.
Sulfate- and salicylic acid-based cleansers, no matter how well they clean the skin, can dry out the skin barrier. Especially in winter, instead of sulfate-containing facial cleansing foams, choose facial cleansing products that will not dry out your skin with the sulfates they contain and will not create a feeling of tightness/tension after use.
Our Pure Project Facial Cleansing Gel, produced for oily and combination skin, is sulfate-free, does not dry the skin, and leaves a moist feeling on the skin with the hyaluronic acid it contains after washing. You can give our facial cleansing gel a try this winter?
If your skin is dry, you can prefer cream-form facial cleansing products.
2. You can add gentle exfoliants to your routine.
Exfoliants can help you remove dead skin cells that accumulate on the skin during winter, and restore the moisture and radiance your skin needs. Make sure the exfoliant you use is gentle and does not damage your skin barrier during use. Try not to use it more than twice a week.
The cucumber seed oil, rich in linoleic acid and Vitamin E, in our entirely plant-based and gently formulated Pure Project Hand and Body Scrub keeps the skin's protective barrier strong and increases its elasticity. Camellia seed oil, on the other hand, moisturizes the skin quickly.
3. You can reduce your shower time and the temperature of your bath water.
As appealing as a hot bath may sound in cold months, hot and long baths can dry out our skin even more. In winter, shorten your bath time and try not to take very hot baths. During the bath, you can choose gentle shower gels and soaps that will not dry out your skin with the sulfates they contain and will not disturb the skin's moisture and pH balance. Don't forget to moisturize your skin after bathing?
Pure Project sulfate-free shower gels do not dry your skin during the bath; they gently cleanse and purify your skin. After bathing, you can moisturize your skin with our daily lotion, and its non-greasy formula allows you to put on your clothes immediately after use.
4. You can add our balm to your daily moisturizing routine.
Water-based lotions are light and easily absorbed, ideal for daily care. However, in winter, certain areas of our skin particularly need more intense moisture. You can apply our oil-based balm to any dry area that needs extra moisture (such as lips, hands, feet, elbows, heels).
Our multi-purpose balm contains only organic oils and provides the necessary moisture for dry areas.
5. You can massage yourself at home to stimulate your lymphatic system and speed up blood circulation.
In winter, stimulating our lymphatic system strengthens our immunity and speeds up our metabolism. It protects against colds.
With our 100% oak wood massage tool, you can easily massage yourself at home towards the heart with your preferred body oil, stimulate your lymphatic system, and strengthen your immunity.
Now you're ready for winter. Best regards!
